I'm nothing if not anal-retentive

Ok, I've been using iTunes for a long iTime and since it's going to be a while until I get an iPod, I've been entering my CD catalog into it in preparation. Some of the songs I imported are unalterable, in that I cannot change the song title/artist/album. I've tried F2 and doing that clickpauseclick technique and it works with 95% of the songs, but not a few of them. Some are WAV files, some are MP3s - they play just fine, but I can't update the info. I've right clicked and selected 'Get Info', but the boxes are grayed-out. What the hell damn fart am I to do? iTunes website is bunk for help, so I turn to you, the smartest person I know.

Date: 2005-03-03 07:26 am (UTC)...and just so you know, after you get your iPod...your life will be forever changed. Any moment without music playing will be torture.
I can't live without that thing...I'm gonna get it engraved.
My computer recognizes it as "Fumundapod".

Date: 2005-03-03 04:36 pm (UTC)Is it possible that the MP3's that don't let you change are older MP3's? That might explain it as well.
That is all the help I can be.
