It depends on what you think of as fun

I got together with Luke this weekend for lunch. It was a really good experience and I think that we'll have some semblence of friendship now. It was nice to talk to his mom again and just get caught up on where our lives have taken us since 1993. He was down for a long time, but I think he's making the right choices to get to where he wants to be.

Also got to visit my grandparents and parents, went out for lunch with Marie, did some shopping, went to the park and sat on a blanket, reading and cuddling, tried to help a baby duck that got separated from his mother get reunited, reorganized our filing cabinet, swept and mopped the kitchen and bathroom, vacuumed out the computer (and boy, was it gross!), played a lot of Sega (I'm starting to get addicted to Sonic 2), got things rolling for starting a community (is it really confusing or is it just me?) and even slept in a bit yesterday.

Today is going by quickly and I am leaving at 3:00 to head to Illinois. I will be 'cut off' until Friday, so I hope the internet withdrawal symptoms don't show up too much. In order to tide you over put you to sleep while I'm gone, here is a long surveyesque entry.

* I need to sit with my legs crossed almost all of the time. I think it's because I'm so tall.

* I've been married since August 4th of 2001. Marie is the bestest thing to ever happen to me. Really.
* I love thunderstorms and think they should happen once per week.
* I am 95% vegetarian. My weakness is still Chinese food.

* I'm the politest person I know.
* I was a virgin until I was 20. Really, nothing beyond kissing until Marie.
* I have a 1989 Buick LeSabre that I really like. I'm going to be sad when it finally quits.

* I work in the field of Human Resources. It is okay but not my true calling. I'll probably go back to school someday, but want to get some life experience in first.
* My favorite restaurant is Cy's Bistro, a Thai place that is beyond description. Come visit me and I'll take you there.
* I like my privacy. I'm very open with my friends, but tend to be quite shy around people I don't know. I don't like that about myself.
* Onions or potatoes or onions and potatoes are my favorite vegetables.
* Although I don't look it, I thoroughly enjoy punk rock music. It's delicious.
* My favorite kind of food is Italian. Lots of vegetarian options and lots of cheese. Hell yes.
* face to face is my favoritest band in the whole world and are incapable of writing a bad song. It's a fact.
* I always tip and almost always tip well.
* I don't go to concerts often anymore.
* I volunteer at the Humane Society and it's fun. I get sad, but know that I'm doing something good.
* I love visiting my grandparents. They rule. It's hard to see them get old, but I'm glad I've realized how valuable they are to me.
* I had a beagle growing up and will likely get same when Marie and I get a dog.
* I'm moving into a house in a month. It'll be rad.
* The only reality show I like is (and always has been) The Real World. It's a sick addiction and luckily (?) it's gone downhill as of late, so I don't watch it as much.

* My parents have been married for 33 years. They are wonderful people and I'm growing to value them more as I get older.
* I turned 25 a few weeks ago.
* I have a hard time finding shoes that fit me properly. I wear a size 14 and am glad that I don't have a shoe fetish.
* I like making mix CDs for people, but often think they don't really like them.
* I've only been out of the country twice, once to Canada (en route to Boston) and once to St. Lucia (honeymoon).
* My last vacation was to Seattle for our one year anniversary. It was totally great.
* I've never taken illegal drugs in my life.
* Somedays, it feels like I'm farting all the time.
* I used to have a severe addiction to TV, but I spend lots more time reading now.

* My eyesight isn't that good. I finally got glasses about 4 years ago and it's made a world of difference. I like how I look with glasses.

* My favorite television show is the Simpsons. Despite it's recent slide toward mediocrity, it still beats 95% of what's out there.
* I never liked professional football until my senior year of high school. Now I can't get enough of it.
* I dislike going to the movies because someone is always talking.
* Rude people bother me more than they should.
* I eat a bagel and cereal for breakfast every workday. I really like bagels.
* I love taking pictures and my photos albums are my most cherished posession.

* I usually go to bed around 9:30 or 10:00. I never nap, so I need to get all my sleeping done at night.

* I have more cavities than I should. But I really am flossing now and it had better help.

I dislike going to the movies because someone is always talking.

I once asked - very politely, I might add - this one woman if she could please stop talking. She whipped around and snapped, "I'll stop talkin' when the movie sta'ts!"

Did I mention that the movie had started? Apparently, it just hadn't in her little psychotic corner of reality.

Rude people bother me more than they should.

Politeness is just an ounce of consideration and forethought. It really isn't that hard. For this reason, rude people bug the hell out of me. If When I'm dictator of the world, all the rude people in the world will be transported to an island, weaponless, along with some unfed lions and tigers. Grr. Argh.

I haven't gotten into any books lately, still making my way through all the back issues of The Sun. I highly recommend anything by David Sedaris (Me Talk Pretty One Day, for example) or anything by Brian Andreas. Good stuff.

To show what a nerd I am, I believe the line is "...caulk? Delicious caulk?!"

I'm not a believer in conspiracy theory, but I've read some strong evidence that in order for 9/11 to happen, dozens (if not hundreds) of people had to be completely inept. But given the administration...

Well, pre-college, I had exactly one girlfriend. That was in 8th grade. I just never saw myself as attractive, so why would anyone else? Luckily, Marie changed all that.
