MUNGRO HORNY!!
Nov. 11th, 2002 04:55 pmFriday night was a mix of excitement and killing time. I was ready to start the bachelor party at home with Marie, but that would've proven difficult. I can fart on my friends; I can't fart on Marie. Once was enough.
Anyway, we made the puppy chow and got my stuff together. Looking at the pile in the living room, you'd have thought I was going away for a week. Hit the sack around 10 and found myself wide awake at 6:10 on Saturday, ready to go. Too bad Terry wasn't picking me up for another six and a half hours.
I got up, played on the computer for a bit and then was off to the Y and bank/grocery store. Had a good workout and then went to get some quarters for poker and taco seasoning and chips for the taco jazz. Got back home and got ready to go. Terry and Brian arrived right on schedule (15 minutes late) and we were off. Had a nice drive down and made it there just before 2:00.
Got our stuff in the house, went on the tour (Terry and Brian having never been there) and slowly the others (Eric, Jon, Steve and Matt) arrived. We hauled our asses to Milwaukee for a 5:30 dinner reservation at this pub/grill place. It was really great. Terry made the observation/question if we would all still be getting together as a group 10 years from now. I truly hope so and mostly believe so.
Dinner was great, even if it wasn't meat-free. I had chicken strips, a green bean/vinaigrette salad and these red potatoes that were just like twice-baked potatoes but somehow better. They were small and cute and delicious.
We headed back to Jeremy's house and spent the rest of the night playing cards, belching, playing video games, laughing, having dildo fights, belching more, eating, swearing and laughing again.
Here are some of the highlights:
Romanticism of insomnia - I always read Rollins's material and how he had a love/hate relationship with not being able to sleep. I always thought there was a beauty to that, as if he couldn't sleep because he had a calling, to write or perform or just think. I don't think that anymore. I got about three hours of sleep on Saturday night and made no sense when recanting the tale of the weekend to Marie when I got home. I don't like that feeling. I laid in bed for about 3 hours, since the room was too hot and the downstairs was too noisy with video games and music. It was nice to just lay in bed and think, halfway drifiting between thoughts and sleep. Brian and Terry were both in the room, and I finally got to hear Terry talk in his sleep and half-witness his sleep walking. He said three things. 1) "Blhagg ohoieh gbiohsr whay hsoihg? 2) down, doWN, OVER OVER! and 3) Cleveland. Neat.
Do Tina Turner? - With the video games, Matt and Brandon spent most of the night playing Madden on-line with other people, as Jeremy has a cable modem. With Madden 2003 you can send messages back and forth to your opponent. They thought it would be funny to pretend to not have a grasp of the English language so they sent messages like "do Tina Turner?" and "How you say, banana split?" and random times against different opponents. It was beyond hilarious. I think from here on out, when someone says something to me that I don't understand I'll try the "do Tina Turner?" line and see what it gets me. Normalacy is overrated.
Dildo fighting - Matt got Kristie a dildo or two (this one huge black one that had suction abilities (no, not like that) so you could stick it to a smooth surface and it would stay and another pink one that vibrated), and the whole night was spent playing with either or both of them. The pink one actually stood up on it's base and if set on full vibration would continously spin in a counter-clockwise motion. It was mesmorizing.
There's lots more, but I can't tell because somethings are just better kept in a small group. Like a secret.
Sunday morning we got up, Kristie came over and made a glorious, glorious breakfast. We got our stuff packed up and watched the Packers trounce the Lions, as per usual. A great game to watch and a good environment to do so. After that we said our goodbyes and hit the road for home.
So yeah, I got home and filled in Marie about the weekend, had some popcorn and then pretty much went to bed. It was a long and glorious weekend.
