Yesterday was quite enjoyable to me, as I got a new computer at work. My five year old machine was sorely in need of replacement. So, I got my boss's (the one that rhymes with bitch) old computer, a new(ish) 17" monitor (compared to my 15", it's a dream come true), scrolling mouse and 99% gunk-free keyboard. My monitor has a blurry patch towards the center that gives me a slight headache, so they are looking into finding a better one. If not, I'll go back to the 15", just because it was so crisp. So I guess the lesson is that the sweet isn't as sweet without the sour.

Wednesday night was about as nice of a night as I've had in a long time. I realized I hadn't talked with Terry in a long time and it was nice to catch up. Got his interview completed, much to my liking, and he flat out killed me on the cribbage board. While I doubled my win total (from 1 to 2), he increased (not grew) his lead. It's now 8-2 and hope is slipping away. But I'll stay strong and emerge victorious. Terry is also coming over tonight for a visit and possibly a game or movie viewing.

Last night was supposed to be a get together with LBEric, but he never called us back. I'm a little miffed, because he's much more polite than that. So, we might get together on Sunday instead.

Tomorrow is out day outing with my cousin Jenny. She just turned 10, so it's always an adventure with her. I like the opportunity to learn about kids before having them myself. You can learn a lot by just listening. I'm not sure what she's going to want to do, but I'm sure we'll have a good time. We'll have dinner with my aunt and uncle too, which is always enjoyable. Sunday I'll be pounding the skins with Brian and finally able to watch my beloved Jaguars on Sunday Night Football. Happy happy, joy joy.

Fantasy news: Alkaline Trio called and they will be moving to Oshkosh and play weekly shows for me. Also, a law is passed that all vehicles must have mufflers at all times. Vehicles without mufflers simply do not work.

Anyway, I just learned there is an Apostrophe Protection Society (http://www.apostrophe.fsnet.co.uk). I should become a card-carrying member.

And, for those of you who can do so, tape Oprah today. They are devoting an hour to Michael Moore and "Bowling for Columbine" and I'm making a special trip home at lunch to do so. I'm excited to see the movie and hope to do so before the holiday rush is on. Terribly unfortunate I need to travel to Milwaukee to see it, but so it goes.

Another reason to move to the West Coast: Patagonia (Ventura, California) gives its employees paid nonviolent civil disobedience training, offers $2,000 to subsidize purchases of hybrid vehciles and organic food in the cafeteria.
