One of our managers at work has been here for 25+ years. He has kept personnel files on every employee, with extensive notes, since his first day. He is going to retire soon and has given me the "project" of sorting through them, tossing the old ones and filing the current ones in our department. It's been quite fascinating to see how things have changed. Applications that used to ask people's height and weight, employee's who have Termination Reason as "Deceased", etc, past employees who are deaf. A lot of history that I'm destroying, since The Organization doesn't care anymore. Weird. I even have a resignation letter from the early 80s with a Shakespeare quote in it. 30 points for leaving a touch of insanity before leaving.

Last night was a good one. The Top Secret present I'm getting Jeremy for his bachelor party came in (special order), so I picked it up before heading to Terry's. We went CD shopping in honor of my latest victory and I can safely say that Young MC's "Stone Cold Rhymin'" is in my posession. Terry got some Babyface collection of love songs (which makes no sense to me, as Terry owns every Babyface CD there is) and I (barely) resisted the urge to dry hump him in the car. We listened to Young MC en route to Baskin Robbins, as Terry wanted ice cream. He got some sort of shake concoction and I got two scoops of pumpkin pie ice cream (in a dish, none of that waffle cone shit). The ice cream itself was outstanding, but it had those little ice bumps in it that took away from the overall experience. I'm big on textures, especially with food.

We returned and busted out some cribbage game, with Terry taking an early 3-1 lead. That's just what I want him to think. Made some tentative plans to have an outing in Green Bay soon and called it a night. I had a hard time falling asleep and an even harder time getting up. I suggested to Marie that we turn our clocks back now and just wait for everyone else to catch up. She agreed.

Tonight I'm picking up Little Brother Eric and we're making dinner together. Also taking back our VCR to ShopKo to get one that doesn't squeal at us when we rewind a tape.

In other news, I had a cheese sandwich for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. My banana left something to be desired. As much as one can desire from a banana, I suppose.
