Because I’m ready for some football…I predict the Packers going 13-3 this year, with losses against San Francisco, Tampa and the Jets. Still, I think they win the division and make it to the Super Bowl. So much depends on who is healthy towards the end of the season. I think Walker is going to be a huge WR and Ahman Green will have another fantastic year. The Pack will lead the league in sacks and KGB just might break Strahan’s record for most sacks. Ok, probably not, but maybe. Favre will throw for 3600 yards, 32 TDs and 18 picks in another great year. Glenn will get hurt mid-year, but the rest of the receivers will pick up the slack and usher in a new era of the forward pass.

Later on, Eric called and invited me to the Packer game and asked me if there were “things I wanted to talk to him about”. I’m not sure if he stumbled across this journal or what, but I guess it’s time to be up front about things and see if our relationship is worth maintaining. I’ve been of the mind-set that it has not and it will be interesting to see how things turn out. He’s going to call after his night class and we’ve got a walk-and-talk planned. We’ve just grown apart and it is time to come to terms with it.

In other news, I’m going to Great America this Saturday and you aren’t. And if you are, well then, you’ll be able to find me at The Viper pretty much all day. Hopefully, I won’t get stuck at the top this time around.

For the past 6 or 8 weeks, our department would have our weekly meeting during lunch on Thursdays and our department head would buy (usually subs). As such, I’ve gotten into the routine of not bringing a lunch on Thursdays, in anticipation of past practice. Today, I come to find out that we’re still having our meeting during lunchtime, but she’s not ordering lunch for us. The fact that I don’t get a free lunch doesn’t bother me inasmuch as the fact that I wasn’t notified ahead of time. So instead, I’m taking a co-worker out for a belated-birthday lunch. The inefficiencies and complications of life can be trying, at times.
