So, my attempts to get glasses were cruelly foiled. After having my eye exam and paying for services, I was told that it would take 40 minutes for them to prepare my lenses (as I was keeping the same frames). I said ok and read some MAD and Men's Health magazines and browsed the candy isle until 40 minutes had passed. I went back to the same functionally retarded person who helped me in the first place and she cheerily informed that she needed me to leave my glasses for them to do anything and that I would have to come back in another 40 minutes.
Argh? Yes, argh.
I fought the urge to kick her in the crotch and lambast her for not mentioning that in the first place and turned and walked away. It's not so much the fact that a mistake was made, but that this is after a day of work and I'm on my t ime. It wasn't her 40 minutes I wasted, it was mine. 40 minutes I'll never get back.
Ass clown.
In more positive news, I'm going to attempt to interview Marie on Saturday instead, en route to Eagle River. I can camcord while she drives and I think it'll be very conversational. I'd almost like to do all of them that way, but without a destination in mind, it would be pretty wasteful. Maybe I should do each interview at a different location, like at a park or laundromat or something. This requires further pondering.
I'm having a musical flashback while listening to Green Day's "Endless Headtrip" live album from 94. A bunch of their old songs and good concert heckling. I still can't believe I saw them in concert when I was 16.
