I had probably the busiest weekend in a long time. Friday night Kate and her boyfriend Nick stopped in by us, as they were in town having two days off. They both work at a resort near Wisconsin Dells. Marie and I had supper after they left and a quiet night.

Saturday I was into work by 8:30 until roughly 1:00. Went pretty smoothly. Got home and had lunch with Marie and then headed to Appleton for a cook out at her great aunt/uncle's. Nice family get together although I was tired. I'm beginning to plot out the details behind making cheesy potatoes for every meal...I think I'm in love. Got back home a little after 8 and farted around at home for a bit. Went to bed a little on the early side.

Sunday was a trip to the NEW Zoo in Green Bay. Met Joy and Julie's boyfriends, Brad and Tom, respectively and had a really nice time. I think I photographed more mullets than animals, I hope the pictures turned out. After the zoo we went out on Brad's boat and played in the water for a while. I got a lot of sun and am burnt today, but it's not too bad. Felt good to be outside but next time I'll bring more sunscreen.

Headed back to land around 5:00 and was home by 6:30. Had a quick supper and then went off to play tennis with Eric. I was down 1 game to 4 at one point, but managed to win the set 7-5. Still have some gas in the tank, so to speak. Of course, my right shoulder slipped out of socket during a return, which hurt like a mofo. It's sore today, but not too bad. Terry got home shortly after, so got a chance to visit with both of them for a while.

Highlight of Sunday was walking to the car en route to the tennis courts and Eric asking "You got any balls?". I was right on cue. I made Kevin Smith proud, dingleberry.

Driving back from the zoo, I was telling Marie about an episode of Crank Yankers where a guy called up a phone sex line and told the operator he was the go between for her and his friend, who was deaf. So he would talk to her and then type out what she said on the keyboard. Long story = short; I want to be a TTY operator. I think it would be a really interesting job, I could work from home and I'm a fast typist. I'm trying to look into it, but searching for "TTY Jobs" is yielding other information. I think I'll have to call Ameritech or go to specific websites and find out what I can.

I stay at work until 6:30 tonight, which won't be too bad. The long hours start on Friday and then it'll be 19 days in a row (starting today) without a day off. Plenty of books to read and stuff to write about, I'm sure.

I'm going to set a goal this year to avoid as much garbage food during AirVenture as possible. They stock the kitchen like it's a dorm room; crinkly bags brandishing titles ending in "-tos" and every kind of dessert you can imagine. I'll bow down to the power of the red, white and blue popsicle (see, I'm not completely anti-patriotic) but that should be about it.

I also hope to keep up my YMCA routine. I fell off the wagon hard once Marie left for Colorado. I'll just have to go later and survive the traffic jam caused by my employer's annual convention. Such is life.

I'm a little disappointed with the response for the Interview Project. I hate getting excited over an idea and then getting a lukewarm reception for it. It will still be a wicked fun project and I think for those who want to participate, it will be great. Time will tell, at least I'll be getting some use out of the camcorder.

I don't think I like crispy M&Ms because upon first bite the remind me of Whoppers and malted milk balls make me puke. And yet, I keep munching on them.

I must admit it's from Kids in the Hall (i.e. Dave Foley) who has a soliquy (whoops) about it.

But I do.
