The cribbage saga continues, as I continue to play terribly against Terry. After Wednesday night's debacle, it stands at 9-18. Cripes, I hope I can pull it together and get a few skunks in.

Set up a doctor's appointment (see [livejournal.com profile] blue_sunshine), I can take a hint!) for Monday to check out this sore throat. The echinecau and one-a-day's aren't working to fend off illness, so let's see what modern medicine has to offer. Anything to stop this ridiculous amount of coughing. Marie thinks it might be pnemonia. Feels like the Black Death.

Looking in the mirror today, I noticed how broad my shoulder are. Kinda sexy.

Annoyance of the day: Co-workers who walk over and say "I just emailed INFORMATION/DOCUMENT to you" and stand there like I'm supposed to be in awe of this revelation.

A memory just popped into my head: I was 8 or 9 and at a bookstore with the family. I found Shel Silverstein's "Light in the Attic" book (with the guy's head on the cover serving as the attic) and picked it up and started browsing. My brother looked at me incrediuosly and told me to put it down, that it was an "adult" book. I showed him it contained nothing more than witty poems and stories. He felt kinda foolish.

We had our carpeting cleaned yesterday, only to find out the stains are still there (noted as PERMANENT on our invoice) and multiplying, and the m*%^&#@fuc*%^s that moved our furniture (while no one was home, which they weren't supposed to do) broke a leg off one of our dressers. Argh? Yes, argh! I put a call in to the landlord to see what's up. The only time anyone has been in our place without us being there are the times we've had to call maintenance and they've keyed in themselves (to fix the garbage disposal, install new lighting, etc). Is this the largest conspiracy in the history of the United States? Quite possibly.

I'm most likely skipping out on the trip to Kenosha to visit Marie's dad this weekend. The cough is still persistant and since everytime I cough my throat hurts, staying with a house full of smokers is most likely not in my best interest. Plus, I've just been really run-down lately. I shamefully skipped my Y workout this morning in favor of trying not to cough up a lung. Maybe I'll feel better in the morning. It was rather pleasant to wake up to the loudest thunderstorm in a long time though. I heart the rain. Except for when it ruins prom, like on the show Marie and I were watching last night. I feel about 30 years from high school.

Happy Birthday, Andrea. I promised to be on my best behavior, didn't I?

It seems quite weird to have all of our stuff jammed into the kitchen/spare bedroom. I like how open the living room is, but at the same time, I like most of the stuff we have. Smaller desires or a larger dwelling? I foolishly choose option B.

Time for cake! Cake at 10 in the morning is such a fantastic treat, I might have to keep it up after I get a new job.

Later. Cake was great.

It is totally pouring right now, crashing thunder and low visibility. Despite my job, I do have an incredible window view. I just want to go run outside and get totally soaked. Wash myself of this illness and emerge refreshed, anew.

My guess would be bronchitis. In any case, go see a doctor.
