***I had a dream that I parked on the road and my car was towed. I was at a house shared by an employee, Craig (whom I don't know) and a classmate from high school who was a grit, Meri. Craig had on this oversized business suit and owned like 8 cars. I asked to borrow one of his, but he said he didn't have the keys. Meri was mowing the lawn in a prom dress (this hideous dark purple ensemble) and yelled at me. I needed to get to the junkyard to get my car back.

I ran across the street to a house, which happened to by the house my parents used to live in. I had the address for the junkyard (Knapp street) but couldn't for the life of me remember where it is (in real life, I take it partially everyday to get to work). I ran to my room and grabbed a map of the area, but for some reason it didn't contain Oshkosh. I was at the end of my rope and honestly thought I was going to have a heart attack. I woke up without incident.***

Anyone else like the smell of their own ear wax? I'm beginning to think my ideal job would be to get paid to pick at things.

I miss [livejournal.com profile] vegasdemilo.

Tonight will be shopping extravaganza for our father's day presents and also assorted birthday presents. Chinese food for dinner (which makes it hard to avoid meat) and perhaps more rummy too.

Saturday will be some local errands, drop off at the Salvation Army and a trip to the library. Perhaps a new CD for me too. I think Marie will give me a haircut too. I like getting haircuts.

Sunday Marie will be gone all day, so I'll most likely beat the drums with Brian and hopefully do something outside.

Thinking back, I don't think I've ever been mooned ([livejournal.com profile] jonnyv excluded). I'm okay with that.

Also, a conversation that took place on our Spring Break trip reared it's head in my mind this morning:

Me, to Terry and Brian, after reading the menu of the diner we were in: "What's scrapple"
Terry, without missing a beat: Scrambled apples

It was that kind of trip.

I've been overwhelmed with a desire to go to a foreign country. Reading all about Hank's travels and the amazing scenery he's been exposed to makes me want to stop living vicariously through him and do it myself. While Marie and I had the chance (kinda) about 6 months ago (with an opportunity to live in Singapore for two years), it fell through before it even started.

In other news, I lasted 6 days before I felt a true desire to have some soda. Unsurprisingly, the cola I had tasted like carbonation and sugar. It was almost void of flavor and just tasted so bland to me. Marie took "the vow" with me, and her root beer tasted the same, so I know I didn't just get a bad can. Perhaps this will be the end of it, or the vast reduction. Part of it probably comes from my enjoyment of opening a can of soda and knowing it's all for me. Like pepsico specially gift wrapped it for only my consumption. I'm foolish like that. Anyway, I think I can make it the rest of the month without, but probably will have a Dr. Pepper on Poker Day.

I could really go for a neck massage.

I forgot to get rice while I was there. Just plain forgot.

General, I salute you.
