Sometime ago, I had a bad run-in with Best Buy. I expressed my sentiments http://www15.brinkster.com/brianmurton/fuckbestbuy.htm) on my website (after unsuccessfully) failing to receive satisfactiory service. I got this email this morning and it put a smile on my face...

Hi Brian,

I recently read your article about Best Buy... and being a former employee I can agree with everything that you said. Recently I was screwed over by my former boss who would refuse to honor my warranty... he then made it VOID in the system... so I was stuck with a broken CD-RW and pure hate for the company... before that I had ordered a Casio BE-300 from Bestbuy.com.. well they never sent the fucker.... I PAID for overnight shipping and I never got it in time... so I called UPS.. bitched at them.. called bestbuy.com and YELLED at them after saying they were going to look into it.. and that it would be about 1 week before I got an answer...... I WAS VERY PISSED. I hung up called back, and yelled at someone else. Well that must have done something because 20 minutes after I got off the phone with them I checked the tracking number, and my package was in transit..... so it got to me 24 hours late... I called up bestbuy.com again asking for a refund on my shipping... they said no problem. They said I would get a refund of $6.52 out of my $20.00 that I paid.... I bitched and bitched.. nothing... SO in the spirt of best buy I decided to register the domain http://fuckbestbuy.com and point it to there main site... so any time that you fell you want to even LOOK at what they have to offer please.. type go to www.fuckbestbuy.com

P.S. I just bought it so it could take up to 48 hours before it gets in your DNS.

anyways.. this is for you, and the many others that just want to say "FUCK BEST BUY!!"

enjoy man.

I'd like to think I was the (albeit partial) reasoning behind this worthy cause. In other customer satisfaction news, I got a hand-written apology from the evil chiropractor. It was a bit of a backhanded letter, but more than I thought I would get.

In cribbage news, I bought Terry the latest Usher CD as a result of his cribbage win. We continued on our new tournament last night and I'm trailing a pathetic 6-1. Sweet merciful crap, I'd better get my act together.

Tonight will be drumming lesson #2 with Brian and a chiropractor appointment. A chance to break in my new sticks and show how uncoordinated I am all over again.

I'm excited at the prospect of buying a new wallet. My current one has a habit of wearing away at the same area in my wallet pocket in all of my dress pants. It looks like an assfreak of a moth attacked them. I stopped 'wearing' my wallet at work a few weeks ago, and I think it's also helping my back.

I think taking a vow of silence would be a really great thing to do. I wish I could take off a day or a week of talking. Just stop and listen. Glorious quiet.
