Ok, except for the Friday night part. Yesterday was a quick day, with me leaving early to get together with my Little Brother. I called when I got home from work around 2:30 and he wasn’t there and their voicemail was full, so I couldn’t leave a message. So Marie and I lounged around the pool for a while and I played some Diablo II as well.
Terry called after supper and invited me over. I had to stop and drop off/get some books at the library and headed over to his place. Eric and Brian had to play each other first in Madden 2001, then it was my turn. I’m the 49ers and had to face off against the Vikings. Suffice it to say, Fred Taylor (via the Jaguars) is a “mad, phat chick killer”. 4 touchdowns, 150 yards and a 7.4 yard average. I won, 34-24, it was pretty great. So now I’m 2-2 and hoping to start a winning streak.
After the game, I headed back home. I was stopped at a red light and noticed 3 biker guys on motorcycles (duh) behind me, revving their engines and generally looking like riff-raff. Since it was only one lane, they couldn’t pull up next to me until the next intersection with stop/go lights. They did so and revved their engines, as if to race. The light turned green, I accelerated as per usual and they took off. Nice job, guys, I guess you win. You sure showed me. I don’t understand that mentality.
I’m borrowing some CDs from my friend Brian. Two Fugazi’s and a NoMeansNo. I really like the NoMeansNo and haven’t had a chance to give Fugazi a listen yet. Brian is a good shit, in the fact that he knows a lot about music and knows stuff that I like before I listen to it. Well, except for the Melvins. The Foo Fighters covered one of their songs and he gave me a CD, but it was pretty mopey.
This weekend Marie and I are heading to Two Rivers to visit our friend (and Terry’s girlfriend) Danielle. Terry is coming too. We’re bringing a meal for Saturday night, so I hope they like it: Ravioli casserole. It’s really easy to make and really good. And meat free on top of it all!
Saturday night we’re coming back after supper to hopefully catch up with Jeremy and Kristie, who will be in town. I haven’t seen Jeremy in a long time, and really miss spending time with him. Hope we can just hang out and talk, but we’ll see what everyone is in the mood for. I really dislike the bar scene for the smoky atmosphere and loud music (and the abundance of ‘hoochies’), but if that’s where everyone wants to go, I feel like a whiner if I say I don’t want to go along. So I’ll do my best to go with the flow and use my Lung Brush when I get home.
Random thoughts of the day:
When I rule the universe, things are going to be mighty different.
I should really get some postcards and send out more mail. I love getting mail. Even bills are exciting to me. I am in dire need of help.
I think I should get a coloring book. Sesame Street or something, that would be rad.
You Don’t Know Jack is a pretty funny show. I like the CD-Rom better, but Paul Reubens has redeemed himself.

Date: 2001-07-06 02:38 pm (UTC)Did you know that cowboy curtis was Lawrence Fishburn? That's right boys and girls, Morpheus used to be a cowboy on a kiddy show.
But the CD-Rom (of you don't know jack) is much much better.

Date: 2001-07-06 02:50 pm (UTC)Of course, that's because the game is just like the best thing in the world and the show is nowhere near as good.
My mom never let me watch Pee Wee's Playhouse.
