For those who care, here are the CDs we listened to, in chronological order for our trip:

1) I'm talking about your compilation CD - v/a (this was a disc I made for Terry, mostly RATM and other punk tracks
2) Archers of Loaf - All the Nation's Airports
3) Live on Two Legs - Pearl Jam
4) Violent Femmes - the one with Blister in the Sun on it
5) Fugazi - The Argument
6) Punk Rock Mish Mash, Vol 1 of 3 - v/a (this is a disc I made, with my favorite tracks from Punk-o-Rama discs 2-6
7) No Alternative - v/a
8) Talking Heads - Fear of Music (this made me have "Life During Wartime" in my head for days)
9) Foo Fighters - Compilation CD (mostly the Pocketwatch demos, with a few live tracks too)
10) Nirvana - Nevermind
11) The Beatles - Revolver
12) face to face - Compilation (rare/live tracks including Econo-Live and some cover songs)
13) Joe - My Name is Joe / Me, Myself and Irene Soundtrack (we let Terry pick two CDs since he only played one Joe song (Table for Two).
14) Firestyle - s/t
15) Life of Brian - v/a (that I send out to friends before I left on the trip, and gave a copy of to Brian)
16) Weezer - Blue Album
17) Morphine - Cure for Pain
18) Commie Compilation - v/a (mostly songs I found on the Internet, including a kick-ass cover of Arms Wide Open by Dave Grohl)
19) Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Let's Face It
20) Rage Against the Machine - Battle of Los Angeles
21) Billy Joel - Glass Houses
22) Blues Traveler - Four
23) Descendents - Milo Goes to College
24) Another Year on the Streets, Vol II - Vagrant compilation
25) Blink 182 - Enema of the State
26) Bob Dylan - Free Wheelin
27) The Dismemberment Plan - Emergency & I
28) Tragically Hip - I think this is their latest CD
29) XTC - White Music
30) face to face - s/t
31) Green Day - Dookie (this was a lot of fun to sing along and harmonize to)
32) The Jam - The City / T. Rex - Disc 2 / Flaming Groovies - Teenage Head / Heroic Doses - s/t (Brian was having a hard time making up his mind)
33) Punk Rock Mish Mash, Vol 2 of 3 (see #6)
34) Dave Mathews Band - Crash
35) Radiohead - OK Computer
36) Pearl Jam - Yield
37) Harry Connick Jr. - Come By Me
38) Robert Pollard and Doug Gillard - Speak Kindly of your Volunteer Fire Department
39) Cake - Prolonging the Magic
40) Dave Matthews Band - Under the Table and Dreaming

At this point, I was dead tired and Brian was driving, so he alternated a bunch of his CDs. Hence, this is not a complete list, but pretty damn close. The sequence goes Terry, Brian, Me, Terry, Brian, Me, etc. and we stuck with it pretty well.

that would be violent femmes' self titled album. i think it was issued to our generation in the mail, along with depeche mode's violator.

It always makes me think of Angela Chase from My So Called Life.

I appreciate the attention to detail.
