After work tonight, my roadmates and I will be securing the services of our rental car and stocking up on much groceries. So much for living a preservative-reduced lifestyle. Afterwards will be packing up and getting any last minute details resolved. After a few weeks of preparation, it *still* feels like we're forgetting something, which we're not. Whatever.

Had a relaxing and significant other filled weekend. For some reason, it seems like Marie and I just really clicked over the weekend. This isn't out of the ordinary, but it just felt extra special. Lots of time together to prepare for 5 days away. Might not seem like a big deal to most, but this will be the longest we've been apart in years.

I have about 1400 things to do at work before I leave. It's not like they'll be taken care of when I'm gone, and yet I still find the time for a journal update. Go figure!

Any suggestions for books to read on the road? I started with Nader's "Crashing the Party" today and will bring a few Adbusters along, but I can make a trip to the library if need be.

I relish in the fact that I'll have dozens and dozens of thunderstorms to experience in my life.
