I've made the decision to compose my live journal entries using Notepad instead of Word. For some reason, this provides me with comfort and a sense of acccomplishment.

My sickness is starting to take over, starting with a steadily irritated sore throat and now a runny nose. My jaw is also starting to ache, as if I've chewed 10 packs of gum today and am sweating more than usual. I think tomorrow will be a sick day.

The employment situation might be looking up, as it seems that there are some open positions that picque my interest and we can only hope to start the transition process. Like a Band-Aid, go at it full force and realize you were the better for it.

Tonight I'll hopefully finally get to the neglected ironing pile and maybe even start on "Stupid White Men", Michael Moore's new book. I'm about 2/3rds through "Trust Us, We're Experts" and while it's very good, it's a little on the dry side.

Philly is a mere 13 days away, and the excitement level is increasingly increasing. Brian should have the Philly planner from AAA by week's end, so we can get the full plan down. Terry noticed in our hotel room in Philly we get free HBO. In his immortal words "That means we'll get to watch Real Sex. Boobies and fucking!"

I've decided that our trip has now been dubbed "Spring Break 2002: Boobies and fucking!"

On that note, it's time to blow my nose.

Did you see Michael Moore when he was talking about "stupid white men" on the Daily Show?
That and the Ralph Nader episode are my two alltime favourites.

Yeah, it sucked that they had to cut him short, I think he deserved a week's worth of broadcast.

The Nader one was great too, it's refreshing to see a journalist (Stewart) on the side of the 'good' guys.

That would be rad. Where are you headed?

Cleveland - March 20th
Philly - March 21-23
Canton - March 24
and then back home the evening of the 24th.

As it stands, I'm going to see The Dismemberment Plan on March 25, face to face April 9th and The Kids in the Hall April 19th. Sometimes, spending money can be really worth it.

Chicken soup. Minus the chicken for the vegetarians among us. Well, I guess this is a stupid comment because I just remembered that it is the magical "something" that is found in chicken stock that supposedly (or "supposably" for the cheezoids among us) makes a person feel better. So never mind. Sit there. Let your nose drip like a sieve. Listen to Van Halen (scientifically proven to increase the likelihood of sickness among people aged 18-30 years).

Hope you feel better soon!

I'm still not going to behead you, even after you try to lengthen my sickness.
