I have come to be significantly irked when the word ‘grow’ is used instead of the word ‘increase’. You don’t grow your vocabulary, your business or your potential. Similarly, you don’t increase your tomatoes. I don’t know if this is a recent phenomenon or something I’ve been oblivious to, but damnit it people, get it right.

Tonight is the end of the cribbage tournament with Terry. First one to 26 wins nets themselves a CD. Seeing how Terry won last time, my honor is on the line. We’re knotted at 21 games a piece, so it’ll take some skunking power to get this over with to my advantage. And of course, onto the next tournament.

I worked out this morning, which I hope to become routine. A good way to wake up, but not an enticement to get out of bed.

I’m halfway through “The Reader”, which my mom highly recommended. It’s a little on the odd side and not what I thought it would be, but it’s a quick read so maybe it’ll pick up over the second half.

The lack of maturity around here is astonishing, at times.

My email login screen is suddenly surrounded by lime green. Yeesh.

It's about 200 pages of boredom.

A 15 year old boy has an 'affair' with a 30 year old woman, set in Germany in the 1940s. I think reading it at work didn't help, as I kept on getting interrupted, but my mom made it out to be one of the best books written.

I guess both of our moms can be wrong.
