Kids have been on my mind lately. Not in the sense of urgency to go forth and multiply, but all of the work and sacrifice that goes into raising them. Saturday was spent with many kids, as Marie’s dad’s side got together for a baby shower for Erica, Marie’s second cousin. It was an experience for me, because now I see them less as third cousins and more as a lesson in patience, fairness and selfishness.

Marie has my wedding ring and I feel totally naked without it. See, whenever I take it off, Marie snatches it up and wears it on her thumb until I notice it’s gone and have to tackle her to get it back. Well, today she left before I noticed it was gone and she had forgotten she had it with her. It’s such a weird feeling to go without.

I Am Sam was radical. Sean Penn was pretty amazing and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the movie theater. Admittedly it was a little predictable, but what mainstream movies aren’t? I highly recommend it. Every time I see a preview for John Q, I get more goose bumps. We ended up sitting too close to the screen (Eric choose the seats) which was rather annoying, but didn’t want to scramble for new seats once the previews started.

I think I’ll be spending my evening on the BB/BS website and probably the job hunt. This is getting old fast.

Every time I’ve ordered cheese ravioli from Fazoli’s, I get one or two spaghetti strands in with my ravioli. While I’m not too concerned about contaminated food or anything, it still grosses me out on a low level.

Well, my headache is telling me to shut the hell up; I have no choice to conform.

For so long, he was 'the guy that was Madonna's boyfriend' to me, but he's been in a lot of good stuff (Dead Man Walking comes to mind). Bring a hanky to the movie, it was a tear jerker.

As for behind the actor's studio, SNL did a parody of it with Toby Maguire (soon to be Peter Parker) as Saved By The Bell's "Screech". It was hands down, the worst Screech impression I've ever seen (and come to think of it, probably the only impression I've seen).

Toby Maguire will always be a horrible Samuel Powers to me, Spiderman or not.

Good news on the belated birtday gift front - it will be out to you hopefully be week's end. Watch it alone, I'm not kidding.

hahah ok.

Dustin Diamond is Michael Diamond's little brother. yes, you read that correctly. Screech is none other than Mike D of Beastie Boy fame's little bro.

Actually, I heard that (in an Onion interview from like 2 weeks ago) that he's really not.

Just like Paul from Wonder Years isn't Marilyn Manson.
