My life is sweet as saccharin
Jun. 26th, 2001 04:52 pmWell, Internet service is down at work, so hence the delay in posting. Somehow, I’m sure you’ll live. Last night Marie and I went to see my Little Brother’s baseball game. He hit a homerun with 2 runners on base, and they ended up winning the game. It was pretty cool but a long game.
Tonight Marie and I are going car shopping. Hope to come home with a new Saturn for her, but depends on what the showroom has to offer. Our first experience buying a car, it’s a little weird. But the one we’re looking at has pretty great gas mileage, which makes a big difference. Hell, if we are forced to use cars in our lives, we should try our best to tread lightly.
I’ve been in a bit of a mental block lately in terms of writing. It’s odd, because sometimes I feel like I can (and often do) go on and on about a subject, and other times I just feel like I’ve got nothing to say. Reading the Manifesto has been really eye-opening and interesting, but disturbing in a way as well. I don’t think that we need such a huge and all-consuming change to our world, but I do think that change is within our grasp and long overdue. I would hope that anyone who has been paying attention would feel the same way. Anyway, I think I’m going to write something up about gas prices next. Maybe for my next MisterRidiculous.com column.
Well, I got web access back. Benefits to talking with the Director of Web Development about ways around a downed proxy server. Or something like that, I just nodded my head in agreement and did what I had to. So I got to check my mail and read some good articles too. As a side note, I was finally able to access my email.com account (after 2 weeks of frustration) so I could forward all the info I needed to my Yahoo account and delete all of my old messages. Glad to have that done.
Random thoughts for the day:
Why do I have so many fucking passwords?
I’m in the mood for porn. But good porn, not nasty porn.
I think that New Car Smell™ is really just the smell of the carpeting.
