The only thing that got me out of bed this morning was the prospects of a large bowl of cereal. I think that outside of pizza, cereal is the only food that always appeals to me. A few months ago, I ordered some ‘Better than milk” soy milk substitute. They had a thing where you could call and they would send you a free sample. When the package came, there was like 20 envelopes of the stuff. So last week, Marie and I tried the “Better that ice cream” mix that we blended with ice, water and frozen fruit. We tried frozen strawberries. It was extremely bland tasting and unnatural. We have also tried “Soy Dream” or something such similarly named product that actually comes as a liquid. It’s pretty good on cereal. I don’t have issues with eating dairy products or milk, but soy sure is healthier. Oh well, at least I tried.

This weekend has Marie and I heading to Eau Claire for our third and final wedding shower. They are nice and a good reason to get together, but I’ll be glad when they are over. A lot of traveling around the state. But we certainly appreciate all the trouble that both of our families have gone to with all of the planning, cooking and shopping. Not too much else planned, we’re leaving tonight after I get done with work and will be back on Sunday. Hope to maybe play some more tennis depending on the weather when we get back.

Random thoughts of the week:
I wish I worked for NPR.

I’m finding the Unabomber’s Manifesto quite interesting. But I think his actions were wrong.

I burned my hand on the oven last night. I think people at work might think I’m the victim of domestic abuse with my black eye and now this. Marie may be handful, but I can handle her.

Rice Dream perhaps?

That's what I put on my cereal being lactose intolerant and all. It's not bad stuff and it comes in a yummy vanilla flavor.

Anyway, thanks for reading my journal.

I'm not sure what it was called, a local grocery store was going out of business and had everything 40% off so Marie (my soon to be wife) picked some up. Stuff is expensive but pretty tasty. I think it was vanilla flavored as well. Can you take milk digestant (hello, type) pills so you can have dairy products? My mom is lactose intolerant as well, and that's what she does. Of course, that's probably a borderline personal question, so if you think I'm frantically scribbling notes regarding the workings of your digestive system, you'd be right.

I don't mind.
I'm not afraid of a soon-to-be-married guy from the midwest possibly stalking me.
yes I can take pills (acidophillus works pretty well and I like it because it's natural) but I prefer to just avoid dairy and therefor avoid the hassle.

Yeah, about the stalking...something has come up. How does early next year work for you?

I don't think I could avoid dairy (and not just because I'm from WI), I just have a weak spot for cheese. And ice cream. Do they have free range cows like they have free range chickens? Permit me to wonder aloud...
