Nate has been wanting to dye his hair for a while and I've been relatively indifferent about it, mostly because he said he wanted a blue stripe in his hair.  Welp, Marie took him yesterday and he dyed his whole head blue.  The salon did a nice job, he's really happy with it, etc., but it feels like a big step toward him becoming a grown-up and it's taken me some time to adjust.  Kimberly said he could go as Milhouse for Halloween.

He snuggled up on the couch with me while watching Futurama last night, so that helped.

I've been sleeping terribly lately and it might finally be time try putting my phone in another room at night.  I wake up at 3, fart around on Twitter for an hour and then go back to sleep until my alarm.  The last several nights, it's been that plus waking up at 12, 2, 4, etc.  I never have a problem falling asleep but staying asleep rarely seems to happen.

This past weekend, 'the guys' and I had our poker weekend and it was tremendous.  25 years of playing cards and farting in the direction of these dudes and it's still always a blast.  

I fear my Packers are going to lose to the goddamn Seahawks on Sunday and I will be super grumpy even though they've exceeded all of my expectations this year under a new coach and new offense.

Any thoughts on McCarthy getting the Cowboys job? As a life-long Cowboys hater, I'm thrilled.

I was hoping he'd go to Cleveland.

I mean, he was a great coach and got to the point where he couldn't/didn't adjust and was too loyal to Dom Capers and working with a defensive roster with serious holes.

I think he'll be successful there but that whole division will look pretty different next year so who knows. Jerry Jones as GM will never work but he should get them farther than Garrett did.

It's hard for me to imagine him tolerating Jerry Jones for more than five years, unless of course they have a lot of success.
