It'll be a slow work day anyway, right?
Dec. 23rd, 2016 10:44 amAsk me three questions in the comments. I'll answer to the best of my ability. Then on your own LJ, invite people to ask you questions. (You can ask me questions and not volunteer for them yourself, if you want.)

Where would you like to live if you ever moved away from WI?

Date: 2016-12-28 10:32 pm (UTC)1) Probably the lack of commute. My last job was 30 miles away, so a good hour of driving each day got old quick. And I worked there for 7 years!
2) The learning curve for my job was way, way harder without being in close proximity to my boss and co-workers. They said it would be 18 months before I was fully proficient (which made me think they thought I was a doofus) but it was pretty spot-on. So much learning is done informally/in the break room/over lunch, etc.
3) I've been thinking about this more lately - I don't want to live my whole life experiencing Wisconsin winters each year. I'd likely move west (Oregon or Washington) to someplace with better weather and more liberal leanings.
