You were born on Wednesday, May 10, 1978. You have lived 8,570 days and have 23,696 days left to live. Lets make them count!
You should die on Saturday September 11, 2066 at 10:21:49 AM.

I think that living to be 88 would be pretty great. I also estimate that I’ve hit the ‘Random’ link 23,696 times since joining LJ.
Last night was a change of plans. Julie called with severe strep throat (she sounded like death) and had to cancel our dinner get together. So we postponed it for next week Thursday, and hopefully Joy can join us as well. I can’t help but think that Swanson is involved…
So last night I watched part of the Chiefs/Colts game, made Butterscotch Applesauce cake (and yes, the recipe WILL be posted on my journal over the weekend. I wanted to try it first and holy shit, it’s great) and spent some time on-line. I had a headache yesterday afternoon and last night, and it’s continuing today as well. I think I need to bust out the aspirin, but I’m fresh out. Blimey!
We are having a retirement party tonight for one of our employees. He’s been here since 1983 (crikey!) and is very grandfatherly. A little sidenote – the last employee retirement party I went too ended up with me getting kissed (on the lips) by our company’s founder, who is 80 years old. I think he saw me as one of his grandkids, but it still was pretty peculiar. It was rather humorous to go home and tell Marie that a boy kissed me at work. Such is my life.
Also tonight, Marie and I get to go grocery shopping (our cupboards are bare) and will probably be watching a movie. Meet Joe Black is rather long, but it’s been a long time since seeing that movie. I thought it was good because it was so different. And Claire isn’t too hard on the eyes either.
As for the rest of the weekend, not too much is planned. I need to find my social security card and have some library books to return. Such a breakneck agenda. Sunday Marie will be going bowling with her Little Sister and I’ll be facing off against Noah via a Madden showdown (the struggling 0-4 Seahawks against the struggling 0-4 Texans). Since he’s allowing something like 40 points per game, perhaps this is my time to strike. Perhaps.
I feel sort of like a dork because I haven’t used our camcorder in a long time. I’m so happy we had it for our wedding video, but it’s been rather unused since. Any ideas of what I could do with it? I’d like to make a movie or something with my friends, but I don’t know how interesting it would be to watch again. Maybe it’s time for another Madden Press Conference. Those usually end up pretty humorously.
Random thoughts of the day.
I’m starting to notice my gut more and more. I really think with a little exercise I’d be in a lot better shape, since I eat pretty well. Maybe Marie is right, we should get a treadmill or something.
Too many closed-door meetings between my department members that I’m not included in. Should I be nervous?
I think I’m going to swear off caffeine. The fact that I can drink a can of Mountain Dew right before bed and it not affect how quickly I fall asleep is probably a bad thing.
I think I’m going to redesign my journal, now that I’m a paid member. The instructions seem rather complicated, but if
xjustinx can do it, so can I.

Date: 2001-10-26 11:09 am (UTC)As it stands right now, when I squat down and then stand up, my knees sounds like a cross between crinkling aluminum foil and rice krispies. Not good.
Thanks for the tip, I'll see what else we can find. My parent's had a NordicTrac that I used, but since I'm so tall, I couldn't get comfortable on it.

Click the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access link, then hit the I Agree button and do a Case Search of anybody that comes to mind; you'll be surprised what you might find. Makes for interesting conversation at the ol high school reunion, as I found out last night.

Date: 2001-10-29 07:24 am (UTC)I'll check out the site, I think I've been there due to a Workplace Violence prevention seminar in which they gave out the web address too.
Update the site soon? Did you and Kate get to mingle?
