Half assed is right.

Well, I wrote my column on ‘filters’ and how we perceive information and how far off from the truth most things are. I wrote it in about 20 minutes and it probably looks that way too. My Mr. R columns always seem to be half-assed, even if I devote a lot of time to them. I guess I feel that most people don’t read them, so I don’t need to worry about coming across coherently or something. I dunno.
Half hour until I get to go home. Today really just flew by and I don’t know why. Our United Way week has been wrapped up, and we raised a lot of money. Still have to see who wins the candy corn counting contest, hopefully me. I have this *thing* for candy corn. It’s quite unhealthy.
It’s amazing to me at how few people read directions. I asked for a specific item from supervisors at work, and more than half of the people sent me the wrong thing. I know at times I can be a moron, but to have so many people not be able to follow simple directions sort of frightens me.
On an up note, I found a way to very easily download all of my past journal entries, month by month. I might have to do some formatting to them, but for the most part, it’s a simply cut and paste to save them. This makes me happy. I would like to keep up to date on all of my journal entries and have them catalogued. Might prove to be useful someday.
I’m looking forward to this weekend and think it will be fun. There is a strong possibility that Jeremy will be in town again to watch the Packer game, which would be down right hot. I sure miss that kid and it’s always good to see him. No matter how much time passes between when we see each other, we always pick up where we left off. I think he reads my journal too, so I’d just like to say word up to Jeremy.
I’d like to go music shopping this weekend, as there is some Tegan and Sara, Pulley and Rocket From The Crypt that I’d like to pick-up. Here’s to hoping my local independent music store can hook me up with the goods. I’d like to take a bunch of pictures this weekend too. I think that I should strive to take one photograph per day. Is that too many? I love looking at photos and such. I’d also like to use our camcorder to interview my parents and maybe even my grandparents. I think that would be so cool for my (future) kids to be able to see someday.
Random thoughts of the day:
So the other day, I was jerking off and listening to a borrowed CD from a friend. There were these high pitched backing vocals and it honestly sounded like someone was in the other room (despite the fact that I was home alone) and I sorta freaked out. The moral? Only jerk off to music you know.
Marie bought me a hair trimmer so she can cut my hair from now on. I’m very excited about that because I feel $13 to cut my hair is pretty nuts and now I can get it cut as often as I like. I really, really like short hair so this is a good thing. She even got a thinning scissors. I have very thick hair.
I’m looking forward to lifting weights when Marie and I get a house. I have a set at my parent’s house and we simply have no room for them in our place. I want to be muscular and be able to tear my T-shirts with a flex or two. Ok, not that muscular, but you get the picture.
I’m going stir crazy.
