i, too, have found a pretty good solution to constant computer issues: getting an apple was the best thing i ever did for myself. seriously. they don't even make antivirus programs for mac operating systems, because you don't NEED them because you don't get a virus every time you sneeze.

i'm hoping that with the open source goings on, soon there will be good alternates available to microsoft products. i'm jealous of the macs, but to start over now would be quite costly. but yes, an excellent solution indeed!

i think mozilla, with firefox and thunderbird, has made a significant contribution to the anti-microsoft movement. i started there, before i switched over to apple. and the idea of buying an entire new computer is quite expensive. i took a small loan out from the bank of mom in order to get that last couple hundred dollars i needed for my ibook, and today she told me my birthday present is that i don't have to pay her back the money i owe, haha. i lucked out.
