Don’t pay attention, just pay the rent.
Oct. 10th, 2001 10:28 amWell, I finally got some sleep last night. I feel asunder around 10 and woke up at 7. I’m not telling my secret.
Last night I went through my memory box and it was pretty cool. Seeing all the love notes and cards and memory items from Marie over the years, I’m so glad I’ve saved them all. I plan on reading through a few email binders too, but I think some of them might be in my old room at my parent’s house. Will have to investigate further.
I started Fallout 2 last night, it’s pretty cool and seems to have a lot more to explore than the original. More interesting characters too. So I’ll be spending some time with that as well. While I didn’t fully solve Fallout, I did find the damn water chip, so close enough. I’m sure I’ll play the original more as well, since I’ve just found a bunch of cool weapons. Oh yeah, and I have to write my column too, so I’d best get to that soon.
I went on-line for a bit and since my connection was pretty slow, didn’t stay on too long. Nobody was on IM from my buddy list, and I was in a chatting mood. I did get through 3 or 4 virtual issues of MAD and had a good laugh.
Today I’m going out to eat with a co-worker, Andrea. She’s pretty funny in that we agree on most everything politically EXCEPT for the counteraction vs. Afghanistan. She things it’s a good idea to bomb them, while I sort of have a respect for innocent lives. The email ‘debates’ we have are quite amusing and inflammatory. We’ve decided to call a truce and get some subs. Her and I work together during AirVenture at the Campground, so we’ve got some history of good debates. She works in Finance and likes to drive golf carts up on two wheels. But hey, that’s a whole ‘nother entry in itself.
face to face has a new song from their forthcoming album entitled “Bill of Goods” and I’m wishing I had a high-speed Internet connection in a major way. Isn’t it interesting how technology makes us all turn into gimme gimme babies? Well, at least turns ME into a gimme gimme baby? Ah well, I’ll have to download it from my dad’s RoadRunner this weekend. Album will be out in March, another reason to look forward to spring.
3 days until poker day. Tick. Tick. Tick. Bring on the spare change! I think the end of the Madden season will take place then as well, so hopefully I can get past Brian and make it to the playoffs. Time will tell, but I think I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve.
More later on, I promise.
