I want:
a country that believes in freedom and liberty for everyone in the world.
a country that allows for religious beliefs, or lack there of, to be practiced freely.
a government that comprehends the atrocities of war and works toward peace at every turn.
a country that understands that religious beliefs should be separate from public policy.
a country that doesn't restrict the rights of its citizens to seek partnership, regardless of the gender involved.
a government that knows how to balance their own budget.
a job that challenges me and makes a positive difference toward the greater good while paying a living wage.
a community that supports all walks of life and celebrates diversity.
an education system that doesn't simply teach to the test, but promotes an environment of creativity and true learning.
a country that understands health care is a basic right of all human beings and that a high quality of life for everyone helps everyone.
a government that realizes the American way of life is harmful to non-Americans and that a reduction in waste and gluttony would promote democracy and freedom more than tanks and bombs.
a government that realizes taxes need to be raised to support communities, but that wasteful spending should not be accepted.
a government that realizes the irreplacability of the environment and the obligation to protect and nurture it.
a music industry that understands that file sharing can only serve to help musicians.
a political party that isn't full of corrupt, short-sighted and extremely wealthy shysters.
and while I'm at it - a decent set of quality holiday lights, fellow drivers who observe road etiquette, diversity in entertainment, uncrackable CD cases and a worldwide cure for bacne.
