For some reason, only about half of the responses I get are getting emailed to me. If it's not too much trouble, when you respond to something of mine, could you also shoot a harpoon in my general direction? This should also help improve my reflexes.

I spent most of last night pulling weeds in the backyard and trimming our three large trees, with my newly acquired 8-foot stepladder. I've got a weird connection between listening to Bill Hick and doing yard work. Anyway, it was pretty fun and I didn't break my neck or anything.

I was in the Sheboygan office yesterday, terminating employment for one of our managers. He had been given advanced notice and was looking for a new job, but hadn't found anything yet. He was very professional about the whole thing, but I still felt like shit about it.

Since killing a squirrel a few months back, I've decided to incorporate a new practice into my life. Anytime I see road kill, I take a deep breath and thank that animal for being part of the cycle of life and wish them peace in their new life. With the exception of two skunks, this has worked well for me.

Tonight is tennis with Eric and probably a phone call to me brother. I also need to reconcile with Brian - hopefully we can get together some time next week.
