Last night was a jaunt to the Lillge's for the Packer game. With Terry living at Danielle's parent's house, it's not often I get to his parent's house. I feel like I need to have my peanut butter jar of change along with me when I go there, as that was Poker Day Central for some many years. Talked with Terry's mom for a bit, utterly destroyed Terry in consecutive games of cribbage and settled in to watch a rather lifeless football game. I'm predicting the Packers go 10-6 this year; so much hinges on their unproven receivers. I think they have the talent to win it all, but a lot depends on if Glenn can stay healthy (which I fear he won't).

Brian came over into the second quarter, bearing nachos and salsa. Killer. I've been thankful for him "pushing" me to do the Interview Project; it helps when others are excited about it and want to see it come out as well. I'm looking forward to getting his "zine" as well; he sent out interviews to musicians about their start in music and best/worst tour experiences, etc. I think it's going to be rather large and a good read. Hope to have that shortly as it just needs to be laid out and printed.

Terry's dad had the remote control throughout the night and during commercial breaks, he flipped between the Brewer game or professional (?) wrestling. First of all, I think that baseball is painful to watch if it's two good teams, let alone a showdown between the Cubs and Brewers. As for wrestling, it's now the WWE ("Entertainment", Terry's dad informed me). I don't know what's more troubling: the fact that adults watch it or the fact that adults created it. I use the term loosely.

I had troubles keeping my eyes open during the game, as the presence of cigarette smoke and feline barraged my eyes. I was sneezing and blowing my nose often and generally felt like poo. Terry and I had to stop by Danielle's to pick up Marie's bridesmaid dress, so we stopped over there and getting into the fresh air made me feel a lot better. I spotted a toad in Terry's driveway; it looked horny.

I got the dress, talked to Danielle and hit the road back home, listening to Soul Coughing the whole way. It’s pretty good.

Work still sucks but you already knew that.

I have an eye exam after work and then it’ll be home for Marie’s interview. I’m not so much nervous about it going well; just that it would be cool if more people would be interested in doing it. The initial response was pretty low, but maybe once it gets going it’ll generate some interest. I just want to be part of something important.

So, my attempts to get glasses were cruelly foiled. After having my eye exam and paying for services, I was told that it would take 40 minutes for them to prepare my lenses (as I was keeping the same frames). I said ok and read some MAD and Men's Health magazines and browsed the candy isle until 40 minutes had passed. I went back to the same functionally retarded person who helped me in the first place and she cheerily informed that she needed me to leave my glasses for them to do anything and that I would have to come back in another 40 minutes.

Argh? Yes, argh.

I fought the urge to kick her in the crotch and lambast her for not mentioning that in the first place and turned and walked away. It's not so much the fact that a mistake was made, but that this is after a day of work and I'm on my t ime. It wasn't her 40 minutes I wasted, it was mine. 40 minutes I'll never get back.

Ass clown.

In more positive news, I'm going to attempt to interview Marie on Saturday instead, en route to Eagle River. I can camcord while she drives and I think it'll be very conversational. I'd almost like to do all of them that way, but without a destination in mind, it would be pretty wasteful. Maybe I should do each interview at a different location, like at a park or laundromat or something. This requires further pondering.

I'm having a musical flashback while listening to Green Day's "Endless Headtrip" live album from 94. A bunch of their old songs and good concert heckling. I still can't believe I saw them in concert when I was 16.
