I'm an open, hairy book
Jan. 18th, 2004 03:18 pmPoll results - I won.
marah -- who are you?! we are new to each other!
I found your journal in the organize community and thought you sounded interesting. Also, I'm very tall.
amanda_mary -- What first attracted you to your wife?
The art of conversation. Marie was dating (and then engaged) to someone when we met, so we spent hours and hours and hours talking about things. Her sense of wanting to do good in the world struck me as very attractive.
mysti -- Do you dip your tater tots in mayonnaise or ketchup?
Neither. I'm a ranch dressing fan myself. On occasion, I'll go with BBQ sauce, but usually it's Hidden Valley Light all the way.
diesel_powered -- Mmm.... What you really look like. (i.e. enough good pictures to form a realistic interpretation of your appearance).
I'm tall and ugly. I have soft hands and lots of moles. I have to sit with my legs crossed and am usually low on leg room. I slouch a bit but am trying to get better at it.
cornelius_mcfee -- (I'm going to ask this... and I ***swear*** I am not judging you AT ALL!!!!) Why did you decide to be straight-edge (Amanda_Mary is also, so it's not like... a big deal or anything... just wondering!)
At first, it was due to my peer group and parents. None of us drank or did drugs in high school, so it never really appealed to me. My parents never gave me the "evils of alcohol" speech, but they rarely drink so I think I assumed most people didn't. In college, I was the computer geek so I'd spend my nights discovering the internet and such and avoided the party scene. As for now, I see most substances as a crutch - there are so many good things in life that I can't fully comprehend while sober, let alone while on something. All of my other friends drink and they all know my preference. They drink when we play cards and it's totally fine by me. As long as there is mutual respect, it doesn't bother me.

Date: 2004-01-18 02:03 pm (UTC)There's a place by my apartment - I think the restaurant name is JJ Peppers - with these delicious seasoned wedge fries. They'd be great in ranch!
