I need to travel more often. I was in Milwaukee on Monday and Sheboygan on Tuesday and everyone treats you like you are more important when you travel. Anyway, it's nice to be back 'home' for the rest of the week. I had my 6 month review with my boss today and it went pretty well. He wants me to be more strategic and come up with some new processes to make things more efficient. I interpreted that to spend time at work on LiveJournal and listening to CDs. It's worked so far. We went over some projects he'd like me to work on and they should be within my scope. Overall, it was a good meeting. The best part of this job is that he treats me like an equal and with respect. Since I never had this at my former job, it's a pretty good feeling. I don't need to be sucked up to or anything, but it makes my work seem less menial.

Marie's brother is staying with us this week, as his job has him working in Kaukanuna (he lives in Milwaukee). It's great except I have to get up early to shower and I'm not a big fan of that. Otherwise, it's cool.

While I was gone, our tech person set me up with my new work computer. It's like 5 times faster than the old one and I got a new keyboard too. The old one was gross with whoever used it before me's filth and I'm glad it's gone. So I've got that going for me.

Marie dropped off three rolls of film while I was gone, so I've got a lot of pictures to scan. You know what I just realized? I write a lot about scanning in photos and you likely don't care about them. So, no more.

I like my penis.

Marie and I usually go to bed at the same time and read before going to sleep. I toss and turn a lot before I can get comfortable. A few nights ago, I was drifitng off to sleep and Marie rolled over and started rubbing my back. And it was one of the nicest feelings and I want to remember how good the simple things are.

I'm getting a new pair of pants tonight.
