The next two weeks, I will experience two five-day weekends. I've not had this much time off since, well, high school. In any event, I've got stuff to do:

-Figure out how to use the DVD player we got from Marie's mom. Yes, I got it to *work* last night, but there are still 75% of the buttons on the remote that are taunting me because I have no idea what they do when pressed.
-Watch the Special Edition DVD of Dogma, also from Marie's mom. I've seen a few of the cut scenes, but not enough to quench my fanboy desires.
-Watch the movies Marie got from the library (Wag the Dog, Swimming with Sharks (!), When Harry met Sally and Snow Falling on Cedars).
-Buy new television cable to determine if it's the cable itself or the television that is leading to a grainy picture.
-If it's the TV, return the TV and get a new one.
-Rearrange movie collection to take advantage of new television cabinet
-Watch all episodes of Family Guy, Home Movies and Dr. Katz that I've downloaded since September
-With surgeon like precision, determine what needs to be moved from the soon-to-be old computer to the soon-to-be-new computer. Try to accomplish this with less than 20 CDs.
-Reformat soon-to-be-old computer and hope that MilwaukeePC pays more than $8 for it.
-Make desserts for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
-Decide how to rearrange house for maximum card-playing enjoyment on January 2nd.
-Stock up on soda and munchies.
-Buy stupid Terry his stupid CD for winning the stupid cribbage tournament
-Draw up an exercise routine that I won't abandon after two attempts.
-Work with my dad on our new bookcases. Try not to saw of my fucking legs in the process.
-Depending on swag received for Christmas, purchase the rest of the Bizarro books and all the Red Animal War I can get my soft, supple hands on
-Write something of meaning
-Read my library books
-Sort my sock drawer
-Get rid of clothes I don't wear anymore
-Research my next car
-Plan my grandparent's interview
-Get together with Terry and play obscene amounts of cribbage
-Win some money on poker day
-Scour cookbooks for new recipes
-Figure out a financial plan for 2004 (paying off my parents, retirement plans, car purchase)
-Read through the 10 or so 3" binders full of emails that Marie and I sent each other during the first part of our relationship. Preferably, in bed. With Marie. Bare-ass naked.
-Figure out something cool to do with the camcorder
-Clean out the garage

Knowing myself, I'll get roughly three of these things done by the time January 4th rolls around, but it's something to shoot for.

Also, thanks for your support in regards to my family situation. Things will work themselves out - I just wish I could to more than fret about it.

I hope the holidays haven't left you totally broke, as I'll be asking you for money in the next few days. And then, off and on, for a few months. You'll see.
