Dan Savage was on Talk of the Nation this afternoon. He has a good radio voice.

As I drifted off to sleep last night, I thought about the notion of living a year without television. Hmmm...

The next time I spend 5 hours in a car in one day, I'm bringing my own headphones. To counter the blaring Christmas carols, I did math problems in my head and tried to get comfortable in the backseat.

I could really go for a hard boiled egg right about now.

Dan Savage was on the radio?!? How did I miss that?! Ugh, that sucks...

But I think he actually used to have a radio show, way back in the day before I'd heard of him.

He's awesome. You should definitely read his books (especially The Kid, one of my absolute favorites ever) if you haven't yet. (I think I've told you that before, but it bears repeating!)

I don't think it would be easy, but I think I could do it.

100% no TV would be really tough, but if I could still have video games and DVDs/movies, it wouldn't be that bad.
