I just want a place to close my eyes
Oct. 14th, 2003 04:10 pmThe Michigan trip was quite fun. Terry and Danielle are still a hoot, in case you were worried. We saw the Detroit Zoo, went to a metropark and walked around for a bit, played lots of Progressive Rummy, made three different recipies containing apples (on account of Marie and Danielle going to an apple orchard while Terry and I stayed at the apartment to make sexual innuendos at each other and swear at the *(#%ing Packers #%*#&ing lose the (*)#%*ing game. Also, I took Terry's suggestion and started a wide receiver on my fantasy football team that scored me zero points instead of my regular selection that would've made it so I didn't lose my game. Terry is a product of Satan, pure and simple.
I didn't shave for five days and it felt pretty cool. Somedays, I miss my beard.
Anyway, we got home around 2:30 yesterday afternoon. Mitten let us have it for a good three hours with non-stop meowing. She was very clingy (which she usually is) and we spent a lot of time with her playing and cuddling. Even when she's a little snot, she's still adorable.
Also, those of you waiting for a surprise package for me, um, keep waiting. I hope to get my shit together this week and bestow the post office with packages and love.
harleyquinn, you're out of luck - I threw out my toenails last week. I'll have to find something of equal value...
The pinkeye-drops have gone from soothing to scorching/stinging, so I guess I'm healed.
I was really stressed out at work this morning, but I ended up getting a lot done. We have unofficial deadlines for making offers to college grads and I'm hoping that everything will come together. I'm coordinating 5 different calendars for interviews and trying to not misplace resumes when I need them most. Yeah, good luck with that.
Fighting off all attempts to engulf me, I mowed our backyard last night and came out victorious.
Also, get a hold of anything by Seven Storey Mountain. I've been tapping my foot to them all day.
No one, in the history of Ever, has had a crush on me.
