Henry Rollins makes $8 an hour.
Aug. 27th, 2001 02:43 pmI read that (I think it was in a magazine article) and thought that seemed about right. Truly the hardest working man as far as celebrities go and the two spoken word discs (well, one was a double disc and the other was a single disc, so I guess three is the appropriate quantity) that I recently obtained do not disappoint. Such a down to earth guy for being so intense. –10 points for sentence structure.
I spent the weekend recovering from my summer cold. All day Sunday I had a “wicked bad” headache that would not go away. I broke down and took some Nuprin with little relief. Today I’m sweating like a hooker in church and I’m not sure if it’s a result of my long sleeve shirt or being sick. Either way, backsweat is not the way to go.
I’m in the process of putting the honeymoon pictures up on my website, should be all ready to go tomorrow. Those of you on my email list of when I update my website will have a steaming hot present in your respective inboxes tomorrow. Those of you not on my list and want to be, just lemme know.
The wedding pictures will take longer to be uploaded as my scanner crapped out on me after 2 months of service. I’m in the process of enacting the warranty and should have a new one by the first part of September. Note to self: Do not trust machines.
Random thoughts of the day:
Perhaps it’s the fact that I’m reading a lot of Harry Potter lately, but today at lunch I was thinking of a curse that would make everything a person eats taste like mayonnaise. How gross would that be? I don’t have anyone in particular that I’d like to curse, but it would be handy to have.
Tomorrow is dinner at Julie’s place. Wa-hoo!
I’m listening to Talk of the Nation with Juan Williams and can’t help but remember on one of the Jello Biafra CDs I have, he mentions that Juan Williams was a big supporter of Clarence Thomas and that Juan himself had some sexual harassment charge against him, or something. Wonder if it’s the same Juan, I can’t help but think that it might be.
On Friday I interviewed someone for a job with purple hair. Oh those creative types! She was pretty cool and she very well might get the job. For a long time I wanted to dye my hair blonde but never did. Probably for the best.

Date: 2001-08-27 02:32 pm (UTC)oh, and by the way, the best thing in the world for a headache is caffeine since most headaches are caused by a constriction of the bloodvessels in the brain and caffeine makes them dialate.
So, if you haven't got any pain meds around, drink a coke says Sarah-the-future-pharmacist.

Date: 2001-08-27 07:18 pm (UTC)Yeah, I read that about caffeine (which I can never spell) and realized that the latest soda purchases I made was all caffeine-free stuff in an effort to be marginally healthier. It's kinda silly, since I drink Mountain Dew at work every day but I'm all about the baby steps. Thanks for the tip, maybe I'll just have to stock up on chocolate...
