Presidential issue number 8 (my lucky number). Marriages will end at two. If you can't make it work through two marriages, it just might be you. Sorry, Liza. Incidentially, I just learned that Alabama permits 14-year-olds to marry if they have their parents' permission.
Presidential issue number 9 - I need to take a serious look at Alabama.
The weekend was quite nice and yesterday lasted forever. Literally. We went to Art in the Park with Marie's mom and stepdad, who were in town for the weekend. It was hot and crowded, but fun. Marie found a few Christmas gifts and a few things for the house too. I'm good at carrying things, so I just played to my strengths. After a drought of at least 3 months, I started working on the Photo Project again. I'd like to be able to have them all done by Christmas time, because I think they would make an ideal gift, but time will tell. My 2003 folder is seriously lacking in photos, so I'd best make with the camera.
Terry and Danielle are coming over on Wednesday for goodbyes before the packup and head to Michigan. I'm not really thinking about them being gone, but I know it's going to be hard for me. Terry has been my closest friend for the past few years and the kinship I feel with him is sadly rare. I know that they'll be back and we'll be friends until the end, but it's still hard. Luckily, I know he'll be better than most at keeping in touch when they do move, which is reassuring.
Tonight, we're getting together with Eric and Lori for dinner. They are moving into their new house next weekend and have spent the past week repainting damn near everything. Will be nice to catch up with them and stuff.
I'm taking a four day weekend and we're making our way to Madison for our anniversary. We're staying at the coolest bed and breakfast in the known universe. Bust this! It's hard to believe it's been two years already. Time flies when your spouse rules, I guess.
Last night Marie and I laid out on a blanket in our backyard and read for a while. It was as close to heaven as I've experienced in quite some time.
