So, the weekend had me (long story short) reformatting my hard drive and starting anew. In the course of doing so, my computer now doesn't recognize the network card (i.e., no cable internet connection). I looked for the driver disc that the tech person should have left behind, but I couldn't find it, because he didn't leave one behind. Between the hours of 5-8 tonight, it will be fixed. It created 9 CDs worth of backup contents, 8 of which were MP3s. Cripes. Now, the task is to go through everything I've downloaded, make a load of CDs to rock out to, and send the files into sweet oblivion.

Also, we bought a new couch and found some patio furniture. I might need to restart my career as a pornstar to pay all of these house-related bills. Speaking of which, I nearly passed out due to orgasmic intensity on Sunday. Yowza...

I was in Green Bay this morning for a meeting, which went pretty well. I got back to the Oshkosh office just before lunch and there was a sealed envelope on my chair, marked "Personal and Confidential". I opened it and found a resignation letter from the one employee who caused the most trouble/stress/backstabbing/bickering/drama in the office. I nearly wept with joy. Granted, it means more work for me upfront (to find a replacement for her), but it should mean a significant reduction in problems in the future. Joy? Yes, joy.

Tonight my dad is coming over to help us pick up said patio furniture and buy a screen door for the patio. He's been so awesome at helping us out with things and it's a nice change. Not that he hasn't been helpful in the past, but I have felt that the past 2 years, the majority of their attention has been focused on my brother's family, while Marie and I have been, in a way, neglected. I know, boo hoo.

I need another haircut.

My mom buys my dad a new piece of patio-furniture every year for fathers day. It's kind of cute. We now have a hammock, 2 adirondak chairs, a chaise lounge, a table with umbrella and four chairs and a love-seat swingy thing.

patio furniture rocks my world.
