Seriously. Stop it.

It looks like my new job is going to change and expand a bit. Basically there are three clusters of offices in Wisconsin. They are 'joining' the clusters into one big office starting this summer. Between the three clusters there are two HR people (me and one other person). So, the cluster that doesn't have an HR person will be split up between the two of us. One of the offices is 4 hours away and since I'm closest to it, it looks like it'll be under my jurisdiction. Not hot. Secondly, another office that is an hour away is almost the size of the office I'm in employee-wise that I'm being asked to spend one day a week there (i.e., lots of traveling for me). The directions to do this didn't come from my boss, so I'm going to wait and talk to her about it first before I get all grumpy, but it doesn't look good. I'm all for roadtrips, but this seems to be pretty excessive.

Update: I think that things are going to work out just fine. I get down on myself when I don't know things (I tend to think the worst in regards to work situations) and I need to relax and take what comes to me. It helps to talk things out with other people and I do think it'll be a growing experience for me. I just have this thought in the back of my mind that HR isn't the career for me and I'm going down the wrong path. But, until I figure out what I want, this is the path I'll have to take.

I'm going to see Bowling for Columbine (on campus, for free!) tonight. DingleTerry ditched out on cribbage, so it is he who is the ball-licker.

Last night I made pudding for Marie. The box said that it could be enjoyed warm or chilled. The box lied. Warm pudding is like eating someone else's pre-chewed food. I have issues with textures.

There are two ducks that are living in our pool area. I'm going to miss them. I know it's not a good idea to feed them bread crumbs, but I also want them to fall in love with me and follow me around everywhere.

Warm pudding, warm pudding...what am I thinking of? I've had something like warm pudding that was good. I think it might just have been mousse. I'll tell you what: if you go somewhere super, super expensive and get warm pudding, it's usually good. That's what I've learned by trial and error. :)

I think part of the problem was that it was coconut pudding. Now, I love coconut, but pouring the mix into the saucepan and seeing those little coconut slivers made me think the mix had gone bad and they were little bugs.

I'll let Marie order it and sneak a half a spoonful.

We should experiment in mailing things that really shouldn't be mailed. Like pudding. Or White Castle burgers.

Or hair.

Or Crisco.

Or Metallica CDs.
