What became of the people we used to be?
Apr. 14th, 2003 12:48 pmFriday night I got to talk to Shreya, which was nice. She's in vet school and inundated with tests, studying and cow vaginas, apparently. Whatever floats your boat, as I've always said. Will be good to see her at the wedding. Spent the rest of the night relaxing.
Satuday I volunteered at the Humane Society again. The dogs were a little more relaxed this time around and I made friends with a pointer/somethingelse mix that would stop frequently on our walk and sit by my side. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww is right. Spent the evening reading and working on the Photo Labeling project. 1998 is the next year to be conquered. It's turning our really well so far. I hope everyone ends up liking it as much as I do.
Sunday we had more open houses to look at and found two that we really like. We're going back to them tonight with my parents for a second look. We're both really excited and think that one of them, on the street named for April's side kick on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is better for us than the one on the street partially named after the bar on Three's Company. I hope we can put in an offer on the one soon, as it is For Sale By Owner and those tend to go pretty quickly. Either one would be about a 25 minute commute to work, which is do-able. Both are in the upper ends of our price range, but I think if we went any lower, we'd end up putting the difference into upkeep/repairs.
I'll be getting fitted for my tux this week for Terry's wedding. He and Danielle are scoping out Harvard as I type this.
Today is Fat Wreck Chords comps,
so_gracefully's Valentine's Day comp, Misc Tracks, Volume One, Punk-O-Rama 6, Punk Rock Mish Mash 1-3, Short Music for Short People and Ska Sucks.
Liz is in town, apartment hunting for when she moves back to Oshkosh in June. We had pizza last night and played some Phase 10. It was nice. We also went for a walk on account of the weather. What is it with strangers driving by, honking and yelling 'woooooooooooooooo!!!'? I'm all for fun as much as the next guy, but who started this and how can we make it stop?

Date: 2003-04-14 11:31 am (UTC)If I were in your life position, Dave would be very worried. I've been inundating him with pleas such as, "Honeeeeeey, will you buy me a bunny?" "Honeeeeeeey, do you think we could bring Clarice (my cat, currently hanging out with my dad in San Diego) through customs? Pleeeeeeeeease?" Is Marie at all worried that you're going to do a mass adoption after you get your house? ;)
on the street named for April's side kick on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
My eyes zeroed in on everything preceding the Mutant Ninja Turtles clarification. I was thinking, "Eh? You're going to live on Dave Street? Do I have any other sidekick?" I then realized that not everything is about me.

Date: 2003-04-15 05:52 am (UTC)And Irma Street is out. My mom was just about vomiting in terror when she saw how crappily it was put together. It's amazing the things you see the second time through that you miss the first time.
