My thumb wound has healed quite a bit and will leave a pretty cool scar, if all goes well. Today is the first day in a week that I've gone without a band-aid. Neosporin works nicely.

I received a copy of Tegan and Sara's newest album from [livejournal.com profile] jonnyv, and it's quite good. I'm listening to my CDs in alphabetical/release order at work. Today is the Get Up Kids, Goldfinger and early Green Day. Of course, with some Tegan and Sara thrown in. I'm hoping to find a few albums to get rid of, as my tastes have changed. Also, there is a program that will take CDs and compress them onto your hard drive, thus reducing the need to change CDs or have software that requires the CD in the drive while playing/using. I'm going to look into downloading it and give it a try. Since things run faster off the hard drive than the CD drive, this should be a good thing.

I had a series of strange dreams and ended up with a song in my head when I awoke that I now cannot remember.

Marie and I took a walk last night to drop off our rent check and went to the docks near our apartment. There is a little isthmus(?) that we walked out on and yelled at the sea gulls. We also met "Buddy", a dog that happened to be out walking around. I fought the urge to put him under my arm and run to the apartment. Barely.

Tonight I'm going to put some computer tips to use from the PC World magazine my dad gave me. All of them promise to make everything better and I'll be interested to see if they work. I also have some CDs to make. I downloaded a new ripper (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dream4distance for the heads-up) and want to give it a try tonight. Too many of my awesome compilation CDs have been marred by skips and pops. I used to think it was the price to pay for free music. I now want audio perfection.

Speaking of which, I would like to get new computer speakers. The ones that came with the computer are okay, but since it's the main source of music listening at home I can justify putting them on my birthday list.

There is a great updated version of "Wartime" by Billie Joe Armstrong at www.greenday.net (it's down a little bit on the page). I get really excited when I find two versions of a rare song. The one I had originally I found off an obscure website a few years back (I think it was a radio in-store of some sort), but this version is a bit cleaner.

I'm good at typing a lot of words and not saying much.

Sweet. I'm going to look at it this weekend, hopefully.
