Talk to me, like lovers do
Jul. 31st, 2001 02:57 pmAnother Convention bites the dust. Whew. No more 12 hour days. No more lack of running water. No more muggy weather to contend with for 10 hours a day. No more crabby campers. No more seeing Marie for only 15 minutes per day. Also, no more Price is Right or sleeping in until 8:30. But hey, I think the pros far outweigh the cons.
I’m getting married in 4 days. The feeling hasn’t exactly set in yet, but it’s starting to give my jumping beans in my stomach. I’m going to be a married man and I think it’s going to be pretty great.
Coming back to ‘the office’ after being away for 12 days is a little surreal, but not that I don’t have anything to do. Just weird that the Convention is over and 51 weeks until the next one. It’ll be the 50th annual convention, so should be quite the shindig, whatever the hell that means.
I’ve got some pictures to post on my journal from Marie’s bachelorette party. The gals had to draw two scenarios, but with the paper atop their heads (i.e., they couldn’t see what they were doing). The results were more than humorous. I’ve scanned them in, just need to upload them. Not for the faint of heart.
I’m in an odd mood. My mind is swirling about everything that is about to happen to me and it’s cool. I hope I take the time to live in the moment and realize what a great situation I’m in.
Random thoughts for the day:
National election day is exactly what this country needs
I’ve gotta stop at the library and get some honeymoon reading material. Any suggestions?
I’ve gotta update my website too, but that’s a standing To Do list item. Shame on me.
I’ve never shat in a porta-potty in my life, and kept the streak going (no pun intended) during the Convention.
I need to spend more time gazing at the sky and letting my mind wander.
