Friday - Prepared for interview and finished the non-f2f CD. It's good. I've been rocking out to it at work. I hope to get into some new bands with the new year. Stretch my wings a bit.

Saturday - Breakfast and drumming with Brian. My first experience with baklava. It was good, but too sweet for me. We drummed for a while and for one single song, I played all of the parts all the way through. I've such a hard time with the bass drum and timing. We went from Billy Joel to Presidents of the United States to Pearl Jam. I was way out of my league with Binaural, but Brian held his own nicely. He also hooked me up with 5 David Sedaris spoken word CDs that I'm going to copy. Hell yes. Picked up LBEric and did some shopping. Got my exchange gift for my uncle and he got gloves for his grandfather. All hail Fleet Farm. Marie and I got back home and took a nap before the holiday party. It's weird to me to see co-workers in formal wear. We sat with my new boss and also the admin assistant (my partner-in-crime) for dinner. We got the vegetarian dish, which was manicotti and fantastic. It had mushrooms, but I was brave. We left shortly before the dance started; karaokee and co-workers just doesn't mix.

Sunday - Picked up my parents around 8:00 and headed to Wausau. Had a nice visit with Marie's mom and step-dad, watched part of the early football games and had some lunch before heading to see Nutcracker. I thought it was good, but I'd prefer to see a play instead. We returned to their house and had some birthday cake (which really hit the spot). Dropped off my parents back home and got our Christmas decorations from the basement. Headed home, decorated the tree, swore at the Packers and called it a night.

Monday - Left work around 1:00, had my interview at 2:00. I think it went pretty well, but I was a little on the nervous side. I'll find out by week's end about a final interview. This would be a really good job for me, I hope it works out. Stopped to get veggie burgers and milk for dinner. Picked up LBEric for the Christmas celebration at the museum where I work, but come to find out he didn't tell his mom about it. Someone in the family is trying to sabotage this relationship, and it's starting to get a little strange. We still made it over and had a nice time. Dropped him off and back home by 6:30. Sorted through weeks of mail, continued burning Sedaris CDs and made a week's worth of lunches (pasta with veggies and alfredo sauce) for myself. Laughed at the Bears and went to bed.

Which brings us to now.

I'm glad I got my first poll to work. I was about to get mad about it (and did a little bit) before I realized that the answers don't get emailed like comments do. More to come.

Observations:
1) Shuttlecock sounds like it's describing a male astronaut's erection. "Everytime we get ready to take off, I get total shuttlecock!"
2) The Simpsons is the greatest television show in the history of the world. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is a close second.
3) Midge was far hotter than Betty AND Veronica put together.

I have to go to the dentist today. I don't like the dentist. What a terrible profession to go into. Anyway, I should have a good check-up as I've been "hitting the floss" on a regular basis. I hope to get some CDs sent out tomorrow.
