My boss (the one that rhymes with bitch) used the above in a meeting yesterday, and it just sorta stuck in my head.

I just had that feeling when my heart dropped into my stomach as I glanced at my reflection in my boss's window and noticed I forgot to put gel in my hair today. It's still short enough that I won't be called a ruffian, but it's still weird. Good thing that my boss (the one that rhymes with bitch) is out today. I spent two sessions, albeit short ones, on the Gazelle last night and this morning. My butt chest is coming in nicely, thanks for noticing.

Last night I caught a show on PBS about public defenders and it followed some cases that they were involved with. I now realize my true calling: court stenographer. I'm a good typist and every day would be like Law and Order (or at least, People's Court). Worth investigating. Probably couldn't listen to Young MC at work, but that would be a small sacrifice.

This morning I watched the 'Newsradio' right after Phil Hartman was killed. It was quite sad. At least he lives on via Lionel Hutz weeknights at 6:30.

I'm losing faith in the American people. A co-worker just said that she wondered if the sniper suspect (with the last name Muhammad) was a terrorist or "just black". If some people could hear themselves talk. I heard that the step-son is from Jamica. I hope they can withstand the eventual bombing campaign.

It's rather crummy out today, half-rain and half-snow and overcast. I think it might be a Pull Those Covers Right Over My Head weekend, with much tea drinking.

Tonight there is a retirement party right after work and then we'll be picking up LBEric for a trip to the library. Should be a blast. I talked to him earlier this week and he was very excited to tell me about his field trip to the Milwaukee Zoo. I'm going to enjoy being a dad.

There's a great song called Throw It Away by Tom Daily and the Volunteers that is on a comp CD I have that I have on repeat. It's tempting me to dance a jig. "Sorry, couldn't photocopy those resumes, I'm dancing a jig!". Works every time.

I've started wearing my glasses at work and am pleasantly getting used to recognizing people from greater than 2 feet away. It's a nice touch.

One (rather large) regret I have about our wedding, in retrospect, is not opening up the mic for all of the wedding party (or anyone who wanted) to say a few words. I think I may have inadvertantly hurt some feelings by not doing so.

I'm doing a search for ideas for my best man's toast in about a month and am coming across some great pictures from other people's weddings. Different souls with their own problems, dreams, allergies and personalities. It's a big world out there.

I think I'm done, for now.
