twicketfaceI had a short day at work yesterday with an appointment at an allergist. I got the "scratch test" on my back, my first time. Didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I'm allergic to ragweed, cats and dust mites. I'm now taking Allegra and some nostril spray. I'm so retarded; I was administering the spray this morning and ended up catching my lip between the pump part and pinched it really hard. I could win an award with how effortlessly I can wound myself.
I returned home and then went with Marie to the laundromat. One really nice thing about having a house will be owning a dryer that works. I wonder if part of my allergies are effected by us having to always have clothes laying out to dry in our apartment. Apparently, dust mites love humidity/moisture. So we washed and dried our laundry and returned home for dinner. After consuming much frozen pizza, I went to Exclusive Company to cash in my Chamber gift certificate. Finding $50 worth of goods was easier than I thought. I got the Viva Death release (1/2 face to face, 1/4 Foo Fighters, 1/4 A Perfect Circle), the Matt Skiba/Kevin Seconds split, The Dismemberment Plan's "Is Terrified" and Henry Rollins' spoken word disc "Big Ugly Mouth". I left with a dollar and some change. The Viva Death disc is really different and after two listens, I'm not sure how I feel about it. The Matt Skiba stuff is pretty great and Is Terrified is better than I remember. Probably DP's least favorite album for me, but I'm learning to enjoy it. Haven't put BUM on yet, but I borrowed it from Brian a while back. I think all of Henry's spoken word stuff is worth having on hand. Makes for good headphone listening, but hard to enjoy at work. Also excited to find out that the new Foo Fighters album will be out on October 22nd and the new Pearl Jam album will be out on November 19th. Radical, this is.
I then proceeded onto Terry's and had a lovely evening of cribbage and discussion. Also talked with Danielle's mom, which is always nice. I increased my lead over Terry, it is now 19-15 in my favor with 7 games to victory for me. Probably will need two more meetings to finish out the tournament, unless I get lucky next week.
Returned home and talked with Marie for a bit before falling asleep. Went to the Y this morning and here I am at work. We have our lunch meeting today, which means a veggie sub for me. Hooray. Tonight will be a trip to Appleton for a get together with Joy and Julie. Tomorrow we're supposed to go to a wedding for Marie's cousin, but she's recently come down with a cold and we might not be able to go.
I think I get my new computer at work tomorrow in my absence. I might be moving to a new cubicle too. I think I should be an office planner when I grow up, I like telling people where to go.
