Excreting the meat
Sep. 3rd, 2002 03:22 pmThere is something so comforting about a blank page. Full of potential, the possibilities stretch out before you.
The weekend was refreshing and relaxing. A leisurely boat ride, several rounds of progressive rummy, and Marie and I cuddled close on a twin bed for two nights. There is something so sensual about the wilderness and being that close to nature. I felt full of inspiration and hope while I was there and it was a feeling I hadn’t experienced in a while.
The Interview Project was born over the weekend, as Marie and I interviewed each other while the other drove to and from Eagle River. About 35 minutes each and pretty smooth. We need to see if it was too dark/noisy/bumpy on the playback, but otherwise we are moving forward.
I got a call from Jeremy on Friday night, asking if we could get together for lunch on Saturday. I was thrilled that he called but disappointed we were going to be out of town. Still, a sign of progress and I’m encouraged.
Made two resolutions for the month of September (that will become resolutions for the rest of the year). YMCA routine 3x a week and flossing every day. I lifted lots of weights this morning and it felt pretty good. Ihope to be will be in much better shape come January 1st. If I get gutsy, I might post before and after pictures.
This week will be burning CDs and cleaning house. Also hope to play some tennis with Terry and watch the Packer game together. I’m so ready for some football.
Also hoping to start up Operation: Clean Up around the apartment complex and neighborhood. For all the walks Marie and I go on, we could really make things look better by bringing a garbage bag around and picking up litter. Why are the solutions so obvious, yet so hidden?
I’m also kicking around the idea of starting a Dear Bigfoot community on LJ. Might be good, might be a lot of work. Will have to delve a little deeper into what’s all involved.
