twicketfaceTerry brought the new ride over last night. Marie and I will both be standing up in their wedding, which will truly be an honor. We had a really nice visit and I've come to realize how much I value his friendship. I can feel that he'll be a "lifer". The voyage to Hot N Now is a pretty set deal for Saturday, so we'll be sure to rock Stevens Point, for the half hour that we'll be there. My stomach is growling already.
Also, that ass bandit tied up our cribbage tournament, which does not bode well for me. We started off trading skunks and then he won two more games. This will not be tolerated for much longer. It's usually been the contestant with a slight lead early on that goes on to win it, so I'll have to concentrate extra hard and peg like a mofo.
In the meantime, I'll just type in my journal and reduce this small mound of dry roasted peanuts to dust and crumbs and realize things could be oh so much worse.
I finished up Nader's "Crashing the Party" and it was great. Despite having dozens upon dozens of examples of what is wrong with our two-party system, how money is always top influence, etc., I took away a sense of excitement that in my lifetime, things will be changing for the better.
Optimism is a funny thing.
