My dentist appointment last night was an experience. I’m a huge wussy when it comes to puncture pain and needles in general (the tattoo idea might have to be put on hold and I’m proud to some I’m nowhere pierced). I had a cavity that needed attention. I went to the dentist and he numbed me up good. I didn’t feel the needle at all and thought I would be in the clear for the rest of my time in the chair. Despite feeling at relative ease, I noticed my shoulders and hands were tense with, well, tension for fear that he’s mis-drill and hit a nerve.

While the dentist was in the process of loosening a part of a tool that was in my mouth (insert adult joke here), I felt a ball-bearing sized piece ‘clunk’ into my cheek with the dentist immediately yanking my head to the left by hooking his finger on my cheek and pulling (so as not to swallow the Super King Steely that just dropped into my mouth). He gasped and quickly retrieved the piece that had accidentally fallen into my mouth.

Despite the near swallowing of a jagged Krusty-O, the dental appointment went fine. I didn’t even cry and was home earlier than I would have been had I put in a full day at work. I have another appointment next Monday that will hopefully go even better.

Today has been a good one, spent with an email box full of sass from

vegasdemilo and an interview with a very interesting fellow. Smart guy but might be a little over qualified for the position.

Tonight Brian was supposed to come over, but he’s got too much homework to do. I also invited Eric, but am getting the perceived cold shoulder from him. So it goes when you stand up for what you believe in.

I need to call Shreya tonight to find out if she’s MIA or just forgot to call me about dinner. I also need to call the local coffee house to see about booking a show for

reject’s band in Oshkosh. Rock out.
