Well, just a minor update of my holiday thus far. Spent Wednesday night doing little of anything. Felt nice. Made the mini cheesecakes for Thanksgiving and did some reading.

Thursday morning was pretty much the same, had some breakfast and watched some TV. Scanned in some pictures of my niece that we had borrowed from my parents. Watched the Packers play the first half of the game and then got loaded up and off to my aunt and uncle's. Watched the rest of the game with my uncle Gary, who is a huge Packer fan. Always fun when someone else is yelling at the TV louder than you are. The families on my mom's side slowly trickeled in. I think we had about 20 people all together. Spent a lot of time hanging out with my cousins and drifting from conversation to conversation. I cannot remember the last Thanksgiving where we've had no snow and it's been in the 50s. Global warming? I think so.

Anyway, we settled down to our meal around 5:00 and everything was fantastic. Enough food for 40, but so it goes. Sadly, it was the first Thanksgiving that my mom's parents were not in attendance. My grandmother was feeling ill and they didn't want to make the hour trip to my aunt and uncle's house. I don't ever want to get old.

Made the trip back home and found a new television show that I'm already addicted to. It's on the Cartoon Network and it's called "Home Movies". Basically, it's Dr. Katz without the stand up comedians. "Ben" is the main voice for the characters and Dr. Katz made a 'cameo' voice appearance on one of the two episodes I caught last night. Hurray!

Today Marie and I will be participating in Buy Nothing Day (www.adbusters.org) and probably going to see the Festival of Trees at our local convention center. Does going out to eat count for Buy Nothing Day? Well, we're probably going to anyway.
