Must. Stop. Eating. Smarties.
But I can’t. A fellow employee brought in this (in my best Al Michael’s voice) “uuuge” bag of Smarties and I am plowing through them like there is no tomorrow.
Today went by fairly quickly today, and I’m not exactly sure why. I went around with the digital camera and took pictures of employees and departments as they were decked out for the Halloween holiday. Good times and lots of candy to be scarfed. I do not have the capacity for Milky Ways I did when I was younger, but I’m trying.
I really need to take another trip to the CD store. I’m suddenly interested in getting a lot more CDs. Dismemberment Plan, Boy Sets Fire, Dashboard Confessional, No Means No, Pulley, Tegan and Sara, the list goes on and on. At least I’ll have something for my X-mas list. I just listen to SO much music during a day (6 hours or more at work, depending on if I’m in meetings, etc) so it gets easy to crave new music. Thankfully,
jonnyv hooked me up with a sampler CD or two that he made with some great music for me to froth at the mouth over. He’s good people.
Well, I think that is all for me. A non-descript day, Live Journal. Hopefully tomorrow will bring more excitement. Julie will be coming down to our place for supper (after surviving a nasty bout of strep throat) and give the exciting details of how she quit her job. I’m intrigued.
Random thoughts before I hit the road:
I need to work on my posture. Being tall doesn’t help, because I usually have to contort my body to fit into confined spaces (under my desk, backseats of cars, this list also goes on and on).
I’m starting to come up with some good ideas for Marie’s birthday, a scant month and a few days away. She always goes all out for me, so I must do the same for her...such fun.
I would be in favor of Starburst taking over the world. I’m not such a big fan of their chewy candy, but their jelly beans and suckers (which I had for the first time today) are so good it must be evil. I got a few flavors to share with Marie. Green Apple was a great after lunch treat. I think I got a few Cherry and a Watermelon one too.
