Hey Dusso, come on out...
Jun. 15th, 2001 03:54 pmCould it be the middle of June already? Apparently so. 6 weeks until I’m a husband. Rock the *%#@ on! Got fitted for my tux on Wednesday night and also got to see my new niece. She’s 2 and a half weeks old and was just able to come home two days ago. Fun stuff.
Most of the order has been restored to Oshkosh after the storm. They upped it to $9 million worth of damage and 500+ trees destroyed. Sucks, really, because I don’t know if they are going to replace the trees with new ones. I can feel the lack of oxygen already. Note to self: destroy car.
I have a sneaking suspicion that paperwork multiplies if you leave it alone. My desk is a mess and my dresser at home is too. Luckily, we’ve got some downtime this weekend to get things cleaned up.
Was pleasantly greeted with an answering machine message from Consumer Affairs at Ameritech. Seems that they got my letter of complaint due to the moving fiasco about a month ago and have decided to credit my account for $80.00+ for the hassle (well covering the $55 connection fee). Squeaky wheel gets the grease!
Random thoughts of the day:
Email.com sucks ass. Anyone reading this, avoid signing up for it at all costs. Trust me.
I had a canker sore under my lower lip for like 3 weeks. That shit hurts quite a bit. And gargling with salt water didn’t help. Does that mean that technically I’ve had herpes?
I hope to devote part of the weekend to ridding my life of things. I have too many things. I want fewer things.
I’m conditioned to answer the phone after two rings. I’m trying to change that to three rings to cut down on the amount of telemarketers I have to talk to. Talk about a position I would hate to have. I think I’d rather scrub toilets than try and convince people to have another credit card. Ugh.
I’m contemplating shaving off my beard. Hmmm…
