Ain’t it the life

twicketfaceTGIF, to the extreme. Man, what a long week. Of course, when you’re really looking forward to something, the time between now and then stretches out to seem to take forever.
Last night was pretty much more of the same: Fallout 2, email and reading. This time I switched to the few Utne Reader magazines I got from the library. Also highly recommended.
I did get to spend some time on the phone as well, clearing up a mix-up with the furniture store. It’s like this: Marie and I purchased a king size bed (cause I’m king size) in April of this year, with special terms (no payments or interest until July 2002). We get statements every month to tell us how much interest has accrued (as a reminder that if we don’t pay in full before July 2002, we have to pay all of the interest). Anyway, yesterday I got a notice in the mail that our account was ‘past due’. So I called up WGR after finding our contract with the terms on it and was put on hold for a good 10-15 minutes. This wouldn’t have been so bad, except for the hold music they picked, which consisted of banjo music. No words, not other instruments, just pure banjo music. Sigh. Anyway, they admitted they funked up and will call the credit place to fix the problem. Also, the girl I talked to on the phone sounded about 15 years old and just like a “Valley Girl”, which wasn’t reducing the frustration I was experiencing over the banjo music in the slightest.
Tonight Marie and I have a date. Dinner and a movie, I think. Either Chinese or Mexican food and depending on what Marie rents, some sort of motion picture. Anything but “The Bare Wench Project”, yikes.
Saturday I’m going computer shopping with my dad in the morning and Poker Day officially starts at 1:00pm and will last roughly 12 hours. I’m going to sleep over at the guys’ place since I’ll be heading right back over for the game the next day. First time I’ve been to a sleepover in a long time, I hope I don’t wet the sleeping bag.
Sunday will be fun since Andrea and Tim AND Kristie and Jeremy will be heading into town to watch part of or all of the Packer game. Haven’t seen those mofos in a long time, since the wedding. I’ll be sure to have the new camera along.
